Meet Our Chief Visionary Officer!

Charese John is more than a “chef” and beyond the title of “designer.” John is a creative force of innovation, vision, and talent. She sees the horizon and she knows how to build it. 

Ms. John is the Chief Visionary Officer for Southeast Restaurant Group (SERG LLC). A Modern Hospitality Group, headquartered in Washington, DC), and Founder & Chief Managing Principal of Revive Events & Catering.

Charese’s ground work began as a former Catering Executive for Safeway Corporation and Dean and DeLuca, food innovation and creative dining experiences are John's innate affinities.  In 2011 Charese founded of Revive Events and Catering under the SERG moniker. In over a decade John and her team have designed thousands of events, private diners, corporate receptions and weddings with guests ranging from 100 to 10,000.

Above ground, Charese has also learned to own the sky—and knows no limits. While studying with celebrity chef, Marcus Samuelson, John mastered the art of international cuisine with a flair. Throughout this time she was gaining a deep understanding of the wants and the needs of hospitality through a wholistic dining experience approach: the internal requirements of the host, the guests’ palettes, and the external environment to hold and enhance it all. In 2020, John launched Charese J Entertaining, an exclusive and private extension of Revive Events & Catering tailored to visionaries seeking greatness in innovative cuisine and rich culture; tastemaker visionaries, private political and government events. Those whom seek greatness.
